The Cleveland Indians were only a couple of wins away from taking the A.L. Central last season. Just imagine if they could have beaten the Detroit Tigers last year. It would have been the Indians going to the play-off instead of a wild card game.
Cleveland Knows that a trip to the post season starts this year with some wins over their central divisional rivals. Last night the Indians got one win and it was because of a great pitching job done by Zach McAllister and his friends who came out of the Indians bull-pen to lend him a hand.
The Indians were able to hold Detroit to only 2 runs. That isn’t an easy task, and if you ask the Indians coaching staff, I’ll bet they would like to take more of that now.
Cleveland scored 3 runs in the game against the Tigers last night. Those 3 runs came in the first two innings and then the Indians offense was held silent for the rest of the game.
The Indians were able to hold off the Tigers who threatened in the 8th. Detroit scored a run when Miguel Cabrera hit a single to left that drove in Davis. When you face Cabrera and you only give up a single to him, you’ve done well.
This guy has the ability to bust a game open at any minute, but that wasn’t the case last night and the Cleveland Indians went on to beat the Detroit Tigers 3-2.
