Wichita State came out running and the Ohio State Buckeyes looked like they didn’t know how to respond. The Buckeyes played the worse first half of basketball they played this year in a game that was supposed to see the Buckeyes advance into the final four.

Just think if the Ohio State Buckeyes could have made more foul shots. The team’s star Aaron Craft has to be one of the worse foul shooters in team history. When Craft goes to the line you just know he is going to miss. The Buckeyes only shot 31% from the field against Wichita. That isn’t exactly going to get them many wins either.

The Ohio State Buckeyes should have been able to beat the Shocker’s. They were out ran. It looked like the Buckeyes lost their legs and weren’t able to keep up with this team that ran all over the court. The Buckeyes took too long to get going. The team played well in March but if we look back to the last 2 games, we wonder why they came down to the final seconds to pull off a win.

The real shocker is the Buckeyes made it past Iowa and the other teams they beat in the final seconds. The Buckeyes couldn’t go on the way they were playing and last night we saw first hand that they weren’t ready to run the floor with Wichita.

They played great in the month of march and Thad Matta did a great job this year with this team. Lets hope they take the off-season to improve the free throws of Craft and next season they remember how they feel after this loss and don’t let it happen again.

We may have been shocked watching the game, but once reality sinks in about how the Buckeyes won the last 2 games, it isn’t that surprising they got beat and failed to advance to the final four. Congratulations on the fine season you had Buckeyes. It was fun to watch and I think that I speak for every Buckeyes fan when I say we wanted to see more.

    Right on LG.
It’s hard to win when you aren’t playing defense, hitting shots, or converting free throws.
Totally agree on Craft. Besides being a sure miss on the front end of one and ones, he was terrible shooting all over the court and was beat repeatedly by witchita’s PG’s. Besides the 3 to win against Iowa St., which would have never been necessary if he wouldn’t have missed the front end of 2 one and ones, he was awful down the strecth for OSU. Last night just showed how bad he can really be…man that was one of the worst performances from a “star” player that I’ve seen in awhile. Even though nobody played great, at least the other guys performed somewhat better in the 2nd half while mounting a comeback.
