In the game no sports expert thought the Ohio State Buckeyes had the chance of winning, Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes, beat the Alabama Crimson Tide, to roll on into the National Championship game. Not only did the Buckeyes beat the Tide, they beat them with their 3rd string quarterback.

Jones threw for 243 yards, completing 18 of his 35 attempts. He had one touchdown and one interception. Urban Meyer had his OSU offense ready to take on the Bama defense. Meyer attacked the perimeter of the Tide's defense with the running game all night.

Bama was one of the toughest defenses in all of college football when it comes to stopping the run up the middle. Meyer knew how to attack Nick Saban's defense, he he made it look easy.

The Buckeyes ran the football for 281 yards, with Ezekiel Elliott leading the way. The Sophomore carried the ball, 20 times and ran for 230 yards.  His long rush was for 80 yards and the Bama defense looked stunned.

Jones rushed the ball 17 times for 43 yards, showing he is not only a quarterback that stays in the pocket. This was only his second game with the Buckeyes and what a stage he played on.

Devin Smith led the way in Buckeye receiving yards, with 2 catches for 87 yards. He was a powerful weapon for Jones when he needed him.

The Ohio State Buckeyes now move on to play the Oregon Ducks Monday January 12th. When Urban Meyer heard about the margin of victory the Ducks had over the Florida State Seminoles, he said they have to go get ready for them.

This should be a great game, with the Ohio State Buckeyes facing off against the Ducks. Meyer is right, the Buckeyes have to go get ready for this one......
