Urban Meyer watch as Carlos Hyde ran the ball 8 times for 11 yards. The guy had a 13.9 yard per carry average and he didn’t play much in the second half at all today.
Braxton Miller continued to work on his passing game, he only rushed the ball 1 time for 7 yards and he threw the ball 23 times completing 19 of those passes for 233 yards and 4 touchdowns.
The Buckeyes played back up Kenny Guiton in the 3rd quarter and he didn’t miss a beat. He completed 8 of 11 passes for 59 yards and 1 touchdown and he rushed the ball 9 times for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Buckeyes even gave Cardale Jones a shot to play quarterback in this one. He only threw the ball twice and he rushed for 24 yards.
When asked after the game what Urban Meyer liked about the game, he said he loved the way the Ohio State defense performed. Meyer said he was concerned about his Buckeyes defense and it is good to see the defensive unit respond to his concerns.
With the win today, Urban Meyer is the only coach in NCAA history to have 3 different 20 + win streaks in college football. The Buckeyes continue to have the longest win streak going in the nation.
Beating the Boilermakers 56-0 looked easy for the Buckeyes today.
