Jimenez beat the TigersThe Cleveland Indians beat the Tigers for the fourth time this season when Ubaldo Jimenez went to the mound and pitched well enough to get the win. Jimenez pitched for 6-2/3 innings threw a 102 pitches 55 of them for strikes gave up five hits and one run on his way to his sixth win of the season. The Indians needed the win and they really needed to performance Jimenez put in last night.

Jimenez who has had control much of the year hit the very first batter he faced last night. Many of you may remember Jimenz was suspended for five games after hitting his former team mate before the regular season even started. Ubaldo didn’t let that shake him as he was able to continue with the tast at hand and that task was pitching some solid innings for the Cleveland Indians .

It is good to see Ubaldo being able to find enough stuff to get some wins this season. Jimenez could have been suffering some confidence problems as well as a few problems with his mechanics too. The good thing is he seems to be getting past those problems. The Indians beat the Tigers 4-2 and the Tribe is still a game and a half behind the White Sox for the top spot in the A.L. Central. The Indians will face the Tigers again tonight as they look to take game two in this series.
