Ubaldo Jimenez  is out to prove to the Cleveland Indians that the trade that brought him to the team in 2011 wasn't a mistake. He had a good outing against the world champion San Francisco Giants in spring training yesterday. Jimenez pitched 4 pretty good innings giving up only one run in the game. Jimenez felt so strong when he was done pitching, he went into the bull-pen and continued to pitch to get his pitch count up past 60.

That is good news, there were times when we wondered if Jimenez was going to hit the 60 pitch count in the 1st inning. Lets hope this is the year that we see the real Ubaldo show up for the Tribe. When this guy has his stuff he is Un-hittable.  Terry Francona likes what he is seeing from Ubaldo, he said he thinks he is continuing to get stronger. The Indians need him to pitch well this season. One of the Indians biggest concerns has to be the starting rotation. If the Tribe can get some solid starts from Ubaldo, it is going to help the team win. With Francona helping to get Jimenez his confidence back, he could return this season to the form he once had. Lets hope this is the year of the Jimenez.
