The patience the Cleveland Indians have shown with Ubaldo Jimenez is starting to pay off. The big man earned win number 11 on the season with an outstanding performance against the Kansas City Royals.

He struck out 10 and only gave up one run. He walked none and his performance was very strong to help the Indians win number 77. The Indians scored 4 runs in the game and 3 of those runs came off home runs by Asdrubal Cabrera, Yan Gomes and Carlos Santana.

The Indians hopes of post season play are still alive and well. Cody Allen came in to re-leave Jimenez and he gave up 2 hits and 2 runs.  The Indians bull-pen continues to struggle but the Tribes offense was able to score one more run than the Royals to hold on for the win.

The Indians are now 1-1/2 games behind in the wild card race and have to continue to play winning baseball if they are going to make the play offs. The Indians are only 4-1/2 games behind for the lead in the A.L. Central, the Tigers now have a 3 game losing streak going.

If the Tribe can continue to win and the Tigers keep losing you never know what can happen. Cleveland has only 19 games left in the regular season and they have a favorable schedule ahead of them. Lets hope they can continue to win.
