What a different a game makes. Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer pitched a 1 hitter against the Philadelphia Phillis as the Indians won their 4th game in a row. Bauer worked for 5 innings only allowing 1 hit. He walked 6 and struck out 5 in the game.

This is just what the kid needed to build his confidence after the terrible outing he had the last time he took to the mound to start a game for the Indians. Cleveland took advantage of former Indians pitcher Cliff Lee. It was the second night in a row that the Indians faced a Cy Young winner and the Tribe offense handled it well.

Cleveland hit Lee, 9 times in the game. They scored 5 runs while Lee was in the game and they knock him out of the game after just 6 innings. The Tribes offense is coming alive after a few weeks of not doing so well.

The Indians Ryan Raburn has been on fire in the batters box. He went 4 for 5 in the game and had 2 RBI’s. Raburn has a .364 batting average and a OBP of .407 and a slugging percentage of .655. In his last 3 games he is 11 for 13 at the plate.

With the 6-0 win over the Phillis last night the Indians move to within one game of .500 on the season at 12 -13. They are now out of last place in the A.L. Central and only 2-1/2 games behind the first place Royals.

The Tribe has a day off today something that Raburn probably didn’t want to see coming with the way he is hitting. They take back to the field Friday to start a 3 game series against the Twins. Lets hope the  hot bats continue to swing this weekend and they can make up a few more games to continue to climb in the A.L. Central.
