Zach McAllister is one of the few Indians starting pitchers that has a winning record.True McAllister only has four wins and two losses on the season, he is one of the Indians only hopes. The Cleveland Indians are looking for Zach McAllister to stop the Indians plunge, Cleveland has dropped their last four games to teams they should have beaten. The Cleveland Indians are presently six games back in the AL central. If the Tribe can’t get a win tonight the season might just come to a screeching halt, as far as post season play goes. At this point in the season the Indians made no moves to improve this team.
The trade deadline came and went and all the Indians general manager did, was to make more excuses. The fans in Cleveland are tired of excuses year after year, they saw the same thing take place last season. At least last season the Indians went out and tried to get a pitcher they thought could help the Indians win, even though the Ubaldo Jimenez trade didn’t pan out the way the front office thought, they did indeed make a move. That’s more than they did this year. All Guys like Chris Perez need to do, is take a look at the actions of the Indians front office and then he will clearly understand why the fans don’t come down and support the Cleveland Indians.
With game tickets costing what they do, the fans wanna see a winner, The front office and the Tribes management does nothing to give the fans a winning team. When Cleveland fans look around the league and see teams like Chicago, Texas, Detroit, constantly making moves to improve their baseball teams, they are left to wonder what’s wrong with the Cleveland Indians management? If Zach McAllister can’t go out and produce a win for the Cleveland Indians tonight against the Kansas City Royals the fans may even stop watching the games on television.
If the Indians lose tonight we certainly can’t pin the loss on Zach McAllister, the Indians offense has been nonexistent over last three weeks. I’ve said it before I’ll say it again the Cleveland Indians players need to take some responsibility for their own actions. They need to dig down deep find some heart and get out there and be aggressive in the batter’s box, if the Cleveland Indians offense can’t get it going, Manny Acta needs to make some serious moves.
Acta should send some of these guys back down to AAA Columbus to hone and their skills, there has to be guys around the Indians minor league system that are hungry to come up and play major league baseball. I say it’s time to give those fellas a chance and at least give the fans an interesting game to watch for the money they pay.
