This has been a magical season for the Cleveland Indians. The team did a great job in the second half of the season and that is something fans haven't seen over the past few seasons. This has to have something to do with the Francona factor.
When the Indians made Terry Francona the team's manager, you just knew things were going to be different this season. Guys like Kipnis, Santana and Brantley were finally going to see what a great manager expects from his ball club.
Just like that the Indians believed and for the first time in 6 years the team didn't self destruct after the all-star break. The team now faces the Tampa Bay Rays in the wild card game. If the Indians can pull off their 11th win in a row, they will advance into the play-offs for the first time since 2007.
Yes sir, the Francona factor is going to be in full speed ahead mode tonight. If the Indians advance into the play offs its off to Boston to take on the Redsox and this has to have special meaning to Francona who took that team to the World Series and came away with a ring.
The atmosphere is going to be electric tonight at Progressive Field, the Indians will take to the field at 8:05 tonight and when they do you can bank on the fact that the Francona factor will be in full effect.
The Indians need to take care of the Tampa Bay Rays and then it's off to Boston. Yep that is the Francona factor and Tito wouldn't want it any other way. Go Tribe.
