The best pitcher, in the Cleveland Indians starting rotation, is without a doubt Corey Kluber this season. Kluber got another win, and helped the Indians to take 2 out of 3 from the Kansas City Royals. He did it with some help of two of the Indians power hitters.
Both,Carlos Santana and catcher Yan Gomes helped the Indians get on the board early, with home runs. Santana’s came in the second inning and then Gomes followed that up with a 2 run blast of his own. The Indians were on top 3-0.
Then it became the Corey Kluber show. This guy has turned into one of the most consistent pitchers in major league baseball, this season. Kluber pitched for 8-1/3rd innings, giving up just 4 hits and 1 run.
He struck out 10 and the guys he struck out are some pretty good hitters. Kluber’s control this season has been excellent. In the innings he worked he only walked one batter.
Kluber moves to 8-6 on the season and would have won more if, the Indians offense was more consistent. He is an all-star quality pitcher and this performance shows how deserving of the honor he is.
The Indians found another run off the bat of none other than Michael Brantley who is an ALl-star himself. It would be amazing if the other players on the team had Brantley’s consistency. This guy shows up to play night after night, and is one of the most valuable players the Indians have on the team.
The Indians beat the Royals in-game 3 by a score of 4-1 to take the series 2-1. The Tribe is now 1 game below .500 and 6 games back in the A.L. Central.
