The Cleveland Indians major concern coming into the 2013 was and is the teams starting rotation. Zach McAllister help the Indians get their pitching staff going and they completed a 1 hitter against the Cincinnati Reds. The Indians would see the Reds put up 20 runs in the first 2 games in cactus league play. Yesterday the Indians won their third game in a row over the Reds to get Francona’s Tribe off to a 3-0 start in Cactus League play winning over the Reds 3-0.
McAllister worked 2 innings striking out a pair and walking one. He looked good in his first spring training start. The Cleveland Indians travel across Phoenix to take on the Athletics next. The Tribes ace Justin Masterson is the scheduled starting pitcher in the game. It would be great to see Masterson get off to a good spring training start. Yes we know this is spring training and we all know these wins don’t count in the season. We still like seeing our Cleveland Indians put wins on the board and we hope this is a great sign of things to come. There is one moron running around the state of Ohio, saying the Indians are only a 75 win team in 2013. I believe he is wrong.
