The Cleveland Indians got a much needed win in Miami. They beat the Marlins 4-3 in a game that was mush closer than it should have been. The Indians were off to a quick start in the first inning they scored their first run when Jason Kipnis got a base hit that would score Michael Bourn.

Kipnis would go on to have a hot night in Miami, he went 3 for 4 and had 3 RBI’s in the game. The Indians are going to need Kipnis to remain hot this week. They have one more game in Miami before heading back to Progressive Field to take on the first place Tigers in a 4 game set.

Cleveland was able to get 5-1/3 innings out of Zach McAllister last night. He pitched great holding the Marlins to 3 hits and he only gave up 2 runs. McAllister seems to be back to where he was before spending some time on the DL.

Things got interesting for the Tribe in the 9th inning when closer Chris Perez gave up a run. The Indians had a 2 runs lead and the last thing you want to see from your closer is a run scored, but this is baseball and it happens.

Perez has pitched well in the second half and he was able to come back shake off the run scored and get the Indians the save. Cleveland Is now 61-49 on the season and 3 games back in the AL Central.
