The Cleveland Cavalier played the Miami Heat and exactly as people thought, the Cavs lost to the Heat 95-84. With the return of LeBron James to Quicken Loans arena, come the return of the campaign to bring James back to Cleveland.
People were giving away tee shirts that read, Come Home LeBron. The Cavs didn’t get blown out in the game by as many points as some people thought.
Cleveland only lost by 11 and if you take into account what happened to the Cavaliers in San Antonio, this loss wasn’t that hard to take. The fans had to see this one coming with the way the Cavs have played this season.
Dion Waiters, the Cavaliers player rumored to be on the trade blocks led the Cavs in scoring 24 points. Waiters looked like the only Cavs player that brought some intensity to the game, he might be a distraction in the locker room, but he clearly knows how to play the game.
Perhaps the rest of the Cavs should get off his back and follow his lead. If the other guys played the game with the same spirit Waiters is bringing to the court this team might be able to compete in the NBA.
The other guys couldn’t bring the same kind of offense in the game Waiters brought. The next highest scorer was Kyrie Irving and he only had 16 points in the game.
The Cavs might be making a mistake in trading Waiters, he is the only guy that has the fire in his belly to win and the rest of the team should take some lessons from him.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are now 4-11 on the season and there is no sign of a winning streak in sight.
