The Cleveland Indians take both games in the double header. It was a rain soaked second game and the first game was on the heels of a storm, nonetheless the Indians saw hits from Travis Hafner in the first game, Shelley Duncan in the second game which helped the Tribe take both games and extend their lead in the A.L.Central. The Indians also saw some firsts as well.
In Game one Zach McAllister was called up to pitch and he got his first win, then the call to the Indians bull pen summoned Nick Hagadone who would come into game one and get his first ever save. The depth of the Indians bull pen has become interesting to say the least. Now the Indians have three guys who could be capable closers need be.
The Indians move to 17-11 and face the Chicago White Sox for game three in this four game set tonight. The Tribe is now 5 games in front of the White Sox and 3 games in front of the Tigers in the A.L. Central. There is a lot of baseball to be played, so there is no reason to start the celebration yet, it is great to see the Cleveland Indians playing the kind of baseball they are playing though. The Indians won game one 8-6 and had a little harder time in game two, the Tribe still pulled off the win in the second game 3-2. Joe Smith would get the win in game tow for the Indians.
