The Cleveland Indians took 3 out of the 4 games from the Texas Rangers, as the Tribe starts one of their longest road trips of the year. The Indians have struggled on the road. As of late, they are turning things around. Beating the Rangers last night, by a score of 17-7, shows this team isn’t going to take losing on the road, anymore.
The Indians offense exploded last night. It looked like they were competing in a home run derby. Lonnie Chisenhall had an outstanding night at the plate, he went 5 for 5 and hit 3 home runs and a double. Talk about a display of some power hitting, Chisenhall was on fire.
Michael Brantley is another Indian, who had a good night at the plate, he went 3 for 3 and hit a home run. It looks like he had a slow night compared to Chisenhall, but how can anyone live up to the numbers Lonnie produced in the game.
The Texas Rangers pitching staff had no answers for the Indians who hit 5 home runs in the game. The Rangers looked shell-shocked by the time the Indians got through with them.
This is the kind of baseball, Indians fans have waited for. The Tribe is now only 2 games back in the AL Central and 2 games above .500 with a record of, 33-31 on the season.
It’s off to Kansas City for the Indians and hopefully another series win, by beating the Royals. Chisenhall had one heck of a night. He is the first guy to have a 5 for 5 night, with 9 RBI’s and 3 home runs, since the RBI stat came into existence in 1920. Chisenhall’s average is now at .385.
