The Cleveland Indians are involved with inner-league play and they have lost their last 2 games to the San Francisco Giants. The fans don't like inner-league play in April, they are complaining about having to play inner-league games this early in the season.
If the Indians would have won their last 2 over the Giants, I'll bet we wouldn't being hearing any complaints. The fact of the matter is, Cleveland is leaving too many runners on base. The Tribe had the same issue last season.
When they got runners on-board they failed to bring them home. The Indians pitchers are also suffering a bit with consistency. The Tribe is back in last place and the fans back home have a tendency to be inpatient.
They are only 24 games into the 2014 MLB season, there is a lot of baseball left to be played. They know what they have to do and they will start to improve soon.
Zach McAllister had a tough outing against the Giants, he gave up 5 hits and 4 earned runs in the 5 innings he worked. The Indians had 9 hits off Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum, but were only able to get 3 runs across the plate in the 4-2/3's he worked.
The Indians take on the Giants again today and they hope for a better outcome than the 5-3 loss they suffered in game 2.
