The Cleveland Indians continue to lose games, they have now lost 6 in a row and it is clear their confidence level is at a season low. The Indians are only a 1/2 above the 3rd place team and they are no 8 games out of first place.
The team has no answers for what is taking place and they looked lost. With a guy like Terry Francona managing the team, I thought they could avoid falling apart in the second half of this season. It is the same thing we saw for the past few seasons.
The Indians aren’t playing good offensively. The team that could explode and score plenty of runs at will, is missing in action. You have to wonder if dropping 4 in a row to the Tigers took the wind out of the Indians sails.
Somehow Francona needs to get his guys back to thinking positive. The team needs to find the confidence they had when they were winning. Someone needs to stand up and become a leader. You would think guys like Giambi who has been around for years could help these young guys keep their heads on straight.
In last nights game the Indians only scored 2 runs. This is the Tribes biggest problem right now. Their run production isn’t happening. Over the 6 game losing streak they have only scored 15 runs. That is not going to get it done.
If the Indians can’t find the offense needed to play competitive baseball, the rest of the season is not going to be very good. It is time for the great Terry Francona to get his team back to winning and he better do it fast……
