The Cleveland Cavaliers open the 2013-2014 season tonight with the return of head coach Mike Brown. The Cavs split their preseason with a 4-4 record and they looked good at times.
For those of you waiting to see Andrew Bynum play, you’ll have to wait a bit longer. According to coach Brown, Bynum has been practicing but he isn’t cleared to play in game time situations.
The Cavs are keeping their eyes on Bynum and when they think he is ready, that is win they will play him. They play the Nets tonight and it should be a good match up.
The Cavs will start the season with a healthy Anderson Varejao. It has been a while since he has played and he should be a big help to the team if he picks up where he left off before the injuries settled in last season.
No one fights harder under the board than Varejao and he is a fan favorite. It is going to be great to see how the Cavaliers play defensively with Mike Browns back with the team.
He should have his guys fighting for the entire game and the way he teaches defense, this Cavaliers team could be play-off bound this season. They have some great talented players and it is time to get the season under way.
Lets go Cavs….
