The Cleveland Cavaliers have a winning streak going. For the first time this season they won 2 games in a row. They beat the Denver Nuggets last night 98-88.

The Cavaliers controlled the game from the onset. They led at halftime by 4 points and came out in the 3rd period and out scored the Nuggets by just 2 points in the period and held on to win by 10.

Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving led the team in scoring with 23 and Varejao had 18. Tristan Thompson had 17 and Andrew Bynum had 14. The Cavaliers are now 6-12 on the season.

The team is looking like they are finally getting together and playing like a team. The Cavaliers played better defense in the game and the offense was able to keep it going for all 48 minutes.

This is the start of something new for the Cavs. Maybe they found out winning is more fun than losing. Tristan Thompson was a beast in the game, he lead the team with 21 rebounds.

Anderson Verejao followed Thompson with 13 rebounds of his own. Cleveland needs these kind of performance to continue to win in the NBA.

This team has some talent and at times they show it. The problem with the Cavaliers is consistency. If they can continue to play like they did last night good things could come their way.
