The Cleveland Cavaliers came into last nights game with a 3 game winning streak to extend. It didn’t happen, The Denver Nuggets stopped the Cavaliers from making it 4 games in a row. The Cavaliers had a hard time throughout the game trying to take the lead away from the Nuggets. Cleveland looked like they were over-matched in the running game. The Nuggets ran the floor with ease and the Cavaliers finally ran out of gas.

Once again it was Kyrie Irving who led the Cavs in scoring with 26 points. The Cavaliers fell to Denver 111-103. Cleveland had a good effort in the 4th quarter and they pulled within a few points at times, it was the Cavs lack of defense that helped Denver pull off the win. Alonzo Gee had a great first quarter hitting all 8 of the shots he took for 16 points, he had 20 on the night only adding 4 more points the rest of the way.

Tristan Thompson had a slow night by his standards, he only scored 11 points and only had 4 rebounds, that isn’t the typical night we have grown accustomed too coming from Tristan.  It was hard for the Cavaliers to handle a team that was on a winning streak themselves, Denver had won 8 in a row before coming into Cleveland.
