After finding, 5 straight road losses the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to finally pick up their first road win by beating the Washington Wizards 103-96.

What's even more amazing is Kyrie Irving had 41 points in the game while playing with a broken nose. Irving was spectacular and the win comes after a players team meeting where reports of a confrontation between some players has surfaced.

If this is a fact, then the players took it upon themselves to do what they had to do to get this team back into playing the kind of game it takes to win.

It is great to see them get it straight.   The team is full of talent and it didn't look as though they were making the kind of effort it takes to win in the NBA.

This was a win on overtime, once the overtime period started, it was pretty much all Kyrie Irving. The Cavaliers only scored 18 points in the first period and they scored 26 points in the 4th period to force the overtime.

It shows the team was willing to play all 48 minutes. This has been a problem with the Cavs for a couple of season's. They don't put the effort out it takes to play 48 minutes.

They either lead at the half and come out flat in the 3rd, or they sink in the first half and come out trying to play catch up basketball in the second half only to fall short.

In this game against the Wizards you can see the effort in all 4 periods. Irving was in fire in this game, no other Cavs player was even close in points scored.

The next highest point total belonged to Tristan Thompson, who scored 15. Irving wasn't going to watch this Cavaliers team lose another game on the road.

The Cavaliers are now 1-6 on the road, 4-7 overall and the fans have to be hoping Irving can continue to lead this team the way he did last night.
