The Cleveland Cavaliers have now won 3 in a row since owner Dan Gilbert fired General Manager Chris Grant. Even Anthony Bennett is starting to show he can play in the NBA.

Last night Bennett had his first double-double as an NBA player. Cleveland beat the Sacramento Kings 109-99 and they now have a record of 19-33 on the season.

Why has the firing of Grant, produced all these wins? It’s simple. The players are doing what they get paid to do. They are finally playing some basketball and they are playing for the entire 48 minutes at a level that shows they can compete in the NBA.

Why it took firing Grant to get this team moving in the right direction, is a question that will never be answered. The thing is the team is looking like an NBA team for the first time this season.

Gilbert sent a strong message when he fired Grant, and the players seemed to have gotten it. All us fans can hope for, is they continue to produce wins.

The team had high hopes heading into the season and they are starting to look like the team they should be. If they can continue over the next several games with the intensity they are now playing with, they could easily pick up 5 or 6 more wins.

Lets hope they do.
