The fan reaction to the return of the regular NFL referees in time for the Cleveland Browns to play the Baltimore Ravens is funny. While some fans where excited to see the return of the regular NFL refs, other said the Browns are going to need a lot more than the regular NFL refs to get a win against the Baltimore Ravens. The NFL extended the deal for 8 years to bring the referees back in time to officiate tonight’s game. This will be the longest deal the NFL has had with refs ever.
The Fans reaction in Cleveland is very realistic, some that were asked their opinions said unless these refs can block for Brandon Weeden and Trent Richardson, it isn’t going to make any difference in the outcome of the game. Others said having a good officiating team on the field shouldn’t even be noticed. He is right, unless the refs make terrible calls they shouldn’t be noticed. What may be noticed is all the Browns shooting themselves in the foot time after time with penalties.
The Cleveland Browns defensive secondary is short-handed and they have a habit of holding a little, it should be interesting to see if the Regular Referees catch more of that. The Browns offense has been nailed all season long with holding calls. It will be something if they get more of those tonight. It seems like every time the Browns offense gets something going they shoot themselves in the foot with penalties. Lets hope that doesn’t increase with the real NFL Referees….
Do you think the Refs are going to make a difference in tonight’s game? Tell us what ya think, leave your comments below…
