When training camp started for the Cleveland Browns, they had stocked the running back position. Now the team is only 5 days away from the start of the season, the only household name that is healthy at the running back position is Trent Richardson.

Coming into camp, there was a lot of concern to the health of Richardson’s leg. He didn’t play in every preseason game and he played only a few snaps in the games he did play in. The Browns had better find a way to run block for him this season.

They need him to stay healthy this season. They cut Jackson who didn’t show much in the preseason, Hardesty is injured again and we all seen what happened to Dion Lewis who showed a bunch of promise in camp and in the preseason.

The Cleveland Browns planned on running the shoes off of Richardson this season. I wonder if they still have those plans in place. Richardson is a beast and not going down on the first hit leaves him open to taking multiple hits by the defense.

We saw Richardson in his rookie season suffer a rib injury and he missed game 16 with an ankle injury. This season for the team to be successful they are depending on T-Rich to carry the ball a bunch of times.

The question now becomes if he can stay healthy for 16 games.
