Deshone Kizer is making Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson look like a genius. Jackson gave Kizer the start in the Browns third per-season game, and he didn't disappoint.  Kizer looks like a guy, who can actually play in the NFL.

He has all the confidence to play the position, and at times he shows he has all the moves too. But lets not forget, this is still per-season folks.  Once the regular season starts, and the Cleveland Browns take to the field against the Pittsburgh Steelers to open the 2017 NFL season, it's then we will see what this kid is made of.

I for one, think he can be the guy. The one thing I worry about with Kizer, is he could be a bit over-confident. He might try to make some throws, that he shouldn't. Once the season starts, those ill-advised throws could lead to some turn-overs.

But for now, Kizer is looking sharp. In his start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last night, he marched the Browns down the field on their first possession, and the Browns got a field goal. If one of his receivers would have been able to hang onto the football, Kizer would have had the touchdown.

That's something Browns fans haven't been used to seeing on the teams first possession. Usually over the past decade-plus, it's been 3 and out. Kizer looks to have to moves to extend plays. He has the arm to make all the throws too.

But as I said, once the regular season starts, the speed of the NFL game increases. Lets hope the Browns can protect this kid, and lets hope this kid can play in the NFL at full speed. But for now watching the Browns beat the Buccaneers 13-9 is a little fun.

I hope the fun continues into the regular season.
