Thank you Terry Francona and the entire Cleveland Indians baseball organization, for the fantastic season. Sure we would have loved to win game-7 of the World Series, but you can't have everything.
The Tribe was awesome this year. Not many in the national media gave them much of a chance in the post season. Some were saying they wouldn't get past Boston. Then the was the series against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Indians got it done, and they took a 3-1 lead over the Chicago Cubs in the World Series without the help of 2 starting pitchers. Cleveland went farther than many would have thought in post season play.
This team took game-7 into extra innings. We aren't making any excuses here, because there aren't any excuses needed. The Cubs beat a great Indians ball club, and they've waited longer than Cleveland to win a World Series.
Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs on a job well done. The Indians are a tough team to beat in a series, and they will be back next season to contend again I'm sure.
Just think, there is about 103 days until the pitchers and catchers report to spring training, and I for one can't wait to see what Francona does with these Indians next year. Maybe luck will finally be on Cleveland's side and the team can make it into post season play with all of their players healthy.
2016, won't be a season to forget. But 2017 will be one to remember as well. This team is too good, not to be a contender next season. Again I say thanks for the fantastic late nights in November, and I look forward to seeing this Indians team in the spring.
