The Cleveland Indians got a much-needed win last night. T.J. House wasn’t great, but he gave manager Terry Francona 5-1/3 innings of work that allowed the Indians to stay in this game. The result was a win as the Indians beat the Red Sox 3-2.
House allowed 7 hits, but never got into deep trouble. He gave up 2 runs, and the Indians still have a hope of wining. House wasn’t great but he was good enough to keep the Tribe in this one.
That’s what it takes, the Indians need to be able to keep games close so they can find a way to win. The Tribes bull-pen took over and they too did a great job of holding the Red Sox in check.
With the win, Cleveland now moves to 1 game below .500 with a record of 34-35 on the season. They complete the series in Boston today, and hopefully they will collect another win.
Cleveland is in 3rd place in the AL Central, they are 3-1/2 games back. As we seen already this season, this team can get hot. If they do they can close the gap quickly. The offense needs to get its act together, because when they do, the Indians are a tough team to stop.
