Saturday June 11th, marks the return of one of Northeastern Ohio's favorite sons, the Hispanic Hurricane Wilkins Santiago, back into the squared circle to continue quest for a championship fight.

The Hurricane, was injured suffering from a broken jaw in his last fight. Sources close to Santiago have assured me, he is fully healed, and intends to pull off a victory at the Presque Isle Casino, where he will be featured as the main-event.

Santiago has a heart of a champion, but people close to him will tell you he also has a heart of gold. Things never come easy to this super welterweight. He has had to make a name for himself, after suffering mild set-backs in his youth.

Santiago was able to over-come adversity, and he now leads by example. When Wilkins isn't training, he is helping the youth around Lorain County, Ohio stay on the right path.

Anyone who knows this guy, has to know he is setting a great example, to anyone who is willing to follow. He won't turn his back to anyone, and he always makes time for everyone.

The Hurricane, is a class act folks. He is one of the good guys in the sport of boxing. At 35-years-old, most are ready to hang up their gloves. But not Wilkins, he longs for a championship fight, and I don't think he will quit, until he accomplishes his goal.

Santiago has had 16 professional fights, and he has only suffered one loss, and 2 draws. If you're around the Erie, PA area on the night of June 11th, and you're a fan of the sport of boxing, you'll probably want to stop by this Casino and watch this guy fight.

You won't find a nicer guy anywhere. But I assure you when this guy climbs into the ring, he is all business. It will be interesting to see how he does in this fight. The Hispanic Hurricane, is well rested, and in the best  shape of his professional career.
