The Cleveland Browns are working the phones, to move back in the first round of this years NFL draft. reports just about an hour ago, say the Cleveland Browns, the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets are all trying to move back in the first round of the draft.

Speculation have the Browns wanting to take Geno Smith in the draft. They want to drop back to avoid giving him a 5 year deal. The Bills are also reportedly looking for a quarterback, rumor has it, they want to draft Matt Barkley. What the Jets are doing is anyone’s guess.

Another report that surfaced just moments ago, said the Browns are not interested in the New England Patriots back up quarterback, Ryan Mallett. After 3 months of rumors it is finally being put to rest. Is this because the Browns plan on taking Geno Smith in the draft? It could be. If the Browns do draft Smith, what do they do with second year former number 22 pick overall in last years draft? Could they be eying a trade for the soon to be 30-year-old sophomore quarterback?

Who in their right mind would take Weeden off the Browns hands? it is going to be interesting to see what the Browns do with the 6th pick in the NFL draft.

If they drop back, will Dee Milliner be there? I don;t think so, even with his shoulder surgery, Milliner is still a top prospect. The Browns may overlook him, even though they need another guy who could be a shut down corner-back.

We are just a few hours away from the start of this years NFL draft. Stay tuned to Cleveland Sports 360 for all your up-dates.
