It won’t be Johnny Manziel’s brain that stops him from being a competitive player in the NFL. According to one Browns fan, Manziel is a lot smarter than the Browns last drafted QB, Brandon Weeden. Manziel out-scored Weeden on the Wonderlic test.
If this is a measure of how good Manziel will be for the Cleveland Browns, you can rest assured he will be better than Weeden was. Although that’s not saying much, our friend and fan also reminds us that Manziel should be able to understand the nuances of the playbook.
Learning the play-book, is something the last Browns drafted QB had troubles with as well. Manziel’s wonderlic test puts him right up there with some pretty good NFL quarterbacks.
Manziel did better than some of these other guys, have a look. By comparison, Andrew Luck had a 37, Aaron Rodgers a 35 and Russell Wilson a 25.
All pretty good QB’s and Manziel out-scored the defending Super-Bowl champion Wilson. Does this mean the Browns now have the guy that will take them to a Super-Bowl?
He promised he would, and we all know when Johnny Manziel gives his word, he lives up to it. Johnny would never tell a lie, would he?
The thing that worries me, is his size. Can he take the hits in the NFL? The players on the opposing defenses are a lot better than the players he faced in college. It won’t be Manziel’s brain that gets him into trouble in the NFL. But it could be his body.
Lets hope the Browns live up to their word and keep him benched while they bulk this kid up.
