The Cleveland Indians completed the sweep over the Angels. They had some help from Nick Swisher in this game. Swisher was able to hit a 2 run blast in the 3rd inning to give the Tribe a 2-0 lead and Masterson a bit of breathing room.

Justin Masterson the Indians ace pitched for 6-2/3′s giving up 5 hits and 1 earned run. The Indians needed a solid performance out of Masterson and they were able to get one. The Indians bull pen was spent after the 14 inning game the Indians played in on Tuesday night.

The Indians were hitting the ball hard in the game but failed to score leaving guys on base throughout the game. The Tribe brought in Rich Hill who got the job done in the 7th and they used Cody Allen to set up Perez in the 9th.

Allen gave up one hit and struck out 3. Perez came in and got his 20th save. The Indians didn’t gain any ground in the race for the A.L. Central. The Tigers won again. Cleveland Is still 5-1/2 back in the central and 2-1/2 back in the wild card race.

Cleveland has today off and comes back to Progressive field to take on the Minnesota Twins Friday night. Lets hope they can continue to extend their win streak.
