The Cavaliers have only won 2 of their 6 games, both those wins came at home. It is going to be a long season if Brown can't find a way to get his Cavaliers to play tougher on the road.
The team hired Brown to improve the team's defense, they gave up 94 points to the 76ers last night while only scoring 79 to lose the game by 15 points.
Anyone can see the Cavaliers problems this season. They are throwing up bricks this season offensively. They aren't using the high percentage shots to score, and they aren't driving the ball into the paint and creating many foul opportunities.
It's like the team is afraid to get physical. They have to drive the ball to the hole. They can't be a competitive team if they aren't welling to drive the ball into the paint.
Brown should be able to see this. He has to get his guys to play a more physical game. He has to get plays designed that will lead his guys to the basket.
This is the NBA, if the Cavs can't get more physical in the paint, they aren't going to win many games this season. Sure, you say we are only 6 games into the season.
But you can see a pattern already developing with this young team. They can't let other teams run away from them if they expect to earn a play off spot, and they have to find a way to win on the road this season.
Otherwise the team could have kept Byron Scott as their head coach. SO far we haven't seen an improvement over what the Cavs had last season.
