The Cleveland Browns faced a Philadelphia offense last Friday night without Michael Vick, come opening day the Browns Defense won’t be so lucky. Vick is reportedly already back to 100%, it is unlikely he well face any playing time in the Eagles final preseason game and he should come into Browns Stadium well rest and ready to go. The Browns defense will be faced with the task of trying to contain Vick among other things. For guys like Frostee Rucker they may have to do a little more than just contain the Eagles running game.
Vick is a weapon anytime he is on the field. Good thing the Browns have guys like Jabaal Sheard and D’Qwell Jackson who just may have enough speed to get to the aging Michael Vick. The Browns defense should be up to the task of controlling the Eagles quarterback. It is times like these where the Browns are going to miss Phil Taylor the most. Taylor is the kind of player who can tie up a couple of offense linemen allowing his teammates to make good penetration.
Needless to say the Browns defense may have their hands full when it comes to stopping Vick and his Eagles offense. I hope The Browns defense is up to the task. Control Vick and they just may control the pace of the game…..Go Browns!!!
