LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Chicago Bulls 97-95 last night. James picked up exactly where he left off last season. He scored 25 points, had 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal.
In the end it wasn't enough to take the season opener from the Bulls, who found a way to beat the Cavaliers by just 2 points. Mo Williams back in a Cavs uniform played well.
Williams scored 19 points, had 4 rebounds and 7 assists. It looks like Kevin Loved came back from his shoulder injury with no problems. Love scored 18 points, had 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
Richard Jefferson lead the way for the Cavs bench, he scored 10 and Tristan Thompson who the Cavaliers just signed to a 5 year 84 million dollar contract came off the bench and scored only 2 points, but he had 12 rebounds.
The Cavaliers were competitive and could have won this game. It's a long season in the NBA, and we know wins are coming Cleveland's way. It would have been nice to see the Cavaliers open the season on a positive note, but you have to like how close the game was.
Last season the Cavaliers didn't start strong, and the team ended up in the NBA Finals. Tonight the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Memphis Grizzlies at 8PM.
