Kyrie Irving reached 2,000 points, he is the 9th player in the history of the NBA to reach 2,000 points scored at his age. It was great to see Irving return to the Cavaliers line up but it would have been even greater to see the team beat the New York Knicks. The Cleveland Cavaliers out played the Knicks in the first half of the game, they were leading at the half 61-49. It looked as though the Cavs were going to beat the Knicks until Cleveland came out of the locker room in the 3rd quarter and played terrible basketball.

The Knicks were able to turn things around and out-score the Cavs 21-13 in the 3rd period. The Cavaliers completely melted   down in the second half, the team went from dominating New York in the first half to getting dominated in the second half. It was like 2  different Cavaliers show up last night the Cavs were out scored by New York in the 4th quarter 32-23 and New York went on to beat the Cavs 102-97. This is a coaching loss for sure. Byron Scott let his team go out in the second half and relax. They had the Knicks right where they needed to be and they had a second half melt down.

Irving scored 22 points in the game and Marreese Speights had a big night scoring 23. At one point in the first half the Cavs were shooting 68%. How do you come out and start a game like that and then run out of gas in the second half of the game?
