Carlos Santana Hits Home runThe Cleveland Indians looked lie they were about to drop another game to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Indians were down four to nothing after three innings of play and the Indians lack of offense was clearly obvious. The Indians were about to have a mini explosion of offense, yes with two out the team that has missed bats came alive on a Jack Hannahan double that seemed to wake up this sleeping giant that has been missing for months. Carlos Santana, that is the giant we are talking about here, Santana hasn’t hit a home run in many weeks. It wouldn’t take long for this Indians hitting to become contagious, Santana would even catch it.

Carlos Santana came to the plate in the seventh inning after seeing Kipnis,Brantley,Choo on base and the man who has had a missing bat that was so bad it had Cleveland Fans talking about sending Santana to Columbus to find it hits a three run blast that traveled 417 feet driving in Kipnis and Brantley giving his Cleveland Indians team a 8-4 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays. Yes folks it was the much-needed swing to get Santana a little confidence back into his step.

Santana would come back to the plate in the ninth inning to get another hit and one more R.B.I. driving in Kipnis. Is Santana back? We can only hope so. A home run and four R.B.I.’s could be just what the young Indians catcher needed to get something going. As fast as his hitting left him it seems like it could come back. The Indians picked up a full game last night and now are only 3 games back of the White Sox in the A.L. Central.

The Indians have one more game in Tampa today and if they can get the win they will take this series 3-1 and could take second place back from the Tigers. The Cleveland Fans are seriously hoping the team makes a move before the trade deadline comes to pick up another right hand bat. The Indians have done nothing as of yet except to say they have had plenty of talks. The Indians may have to go it with the players they already have in place.

Lets hope Carlos Santana is out of his slump and can make a move in the right direction, since returning off the D.L. Santana was hitting .184….

Tell us what you think about Carlos Santana, is he back or was this only a case of having one good game?
