Whose it gonna be Weeden Or McCoyThe Cleveland Browns have a tough Schedule this season and it starts in the Pre-Season which starts in nine days against the Detroit Lions. The Cleveland Browns will start their season off against a team that went 10-6 ;last season only to lose in the wild card game in the play-offs. The Detroit Lions still have a bad taste in their mouths over that one. The Lions will be starting their season off with something to prove. Many don’t think the Lions will have the same success they had last season. The Cleveland Browns could be the victims of a team that is trying to prove something to the nay-Sayers.

The Browns need to get off to a good start to show the fans they have improved the team. Head Coach Pat Shurmur probably is going to start the teams 22nd pick in the draft Brandon Weeden, all indicators are leaning that way. Weeden will face a Detroit Lions defensive line that features one of the N.F.L. bad boys, Ndamukong Suh. Sue likes to give people a little something extra when he hits them. The Browns offensive line will get tested in this first Pre-season game. If Weeden gets the start he will be tested.

The Lions defense was not that good in 2011 giving up 367.6 yards per game last season, the Lions defense was ranked 23rd in the league.. This is one stat the Lions will be looking to improve in 2012. Suh had four sacks last season, he will be coming after the Browns quarterback, this is when we are going to see if the Browns offensive line is better than they were last season.

If the Lions can penetrate the Browns line and get their hands on who ever is the Browns starter, it will make for a long night. It is going to be interesting to see what the 2012 Cleveland Browns are capable of doing this season. I would imagine we will hear Pat Shurmur make an announcement soon about who will start at the Q.B. position. It was Shurmur himself saying he wanted to name the starter sooner than later. As we get closer to the first pre-season game, I would expect the decision soon…

Start Weeden it’ll be a good test against a playoff team from last year. Besides it won’t count in the standings.
