Week in and week out we hear about how good Joe Haden is, well he is good. But he isn’t doing it all alone this season. Buster Skrine has stepped up big this season. His stats are better than Haden’s and he is finally turning into the corner back the Browns hoped he would be.

In almost every stat kept for a defensive back Skrine’s numbers this season are better than Haden’s. Skrine has more interceptions, more tackles and more deflected passes than Haden. There was a time, not to long ago when people wanted to see Skrine ran out of Cleveland.

He was burned coming into the NFL and who could blame him. He never faced the type of talent in the NFL coming into the league from a small school like Tennessee-Chattanooga.

Skrine has worked his butt off to step up his game. He is playing every bit as good as Joe Haden this season. He may get more looks because of Haden’s reputation in the NFL as a shut down corner, but Skrine has answered the call this season and he is solidifying the Cleveland Browns defensive backfield with his fine play this season.

The Browns defense has slipped over the past couple of games.  They fell to fourth in over – all total team defense and they are ranked 7th against the pass and 8th against the run. One huge reason they are ranked as high as they are against the pass id the solid play of Buster Skrine.

It is time that people realize just how improved this kid is this season.

Quaterbacks don’t throw the ball to haden’s side of the field ever since that 7 pick season a few years ago

Soon they won’t have a side throw it too.

I could not agree more, I have seen this kid every down this year play with a incredible amount of intensity and intelligence. I have said it back in Week 2, we don’t need to draft a CB in the draft, we got our #2 corner developing right before our eyes.
