The Cleveland Indians took their 5th game in a row last night. They beat the Chicago White Sox 3-2 when the Old guy came in and hit a blast to deep center field for a walk off 9th inning win. Jason Giambi was sent in to pinch hit for Mark Reynolds who was the DH in last nights game. Reynolds was 0 for 1 in the game when Francona called on the old veteran to get things done.

The Indians started Zach McAllister who gave the Indians 7 good inning of pitching. He gave up 5 hits and struck out 2 while walking 1 batter. He also held the White Sox scoreless until the 6th inning. McAllister is back to where he was before going to the DL.

The Indians were able to pick up a half game in the race for the AL Central because the Tigers were off. The Tribe is now 2-1/2 games back. The Indians got onto the board first off of a Carlos Santana single in the 2nd that scored Cabrera.

They scored their second run in the 6th when Asdrubal Cabrera hit a ground out to short that drove in Michael Bourn. There was a moment in the 8th inning when it looked like the White Sox were going th have an inside the park HR.

Raburn over played a line drive in right field, the ball got past him as he was struggling around in right field trying to figure out where the ball went. Michael Bourn was able to hustle over to grab it and hold the Sox to a triple.

Then Mr. constant himself Michael Brantley made a great catch over his head to end the inning. Brantley is an amazing talent and the Indians have to find a way to secure him to a long-term contract soon. The Tribe takes on the White Sox in game 2 of the 4 game series tonight.
