Now we know, the Cleveland Cavaliers will face off against the Golden State Warriors, in the NBA Finals. The Warriors closed out their series against the Houston Rockets with a 104-90 win in-game 5 last night.
The Cavs had to know it would be the Warriors, who had a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference finals, but now Cleveland knows for sure it will be the Warriors. LeBron James and company can now get ready to play for an NBA Championship.
The Cavaliers defense should stack up nicely against Golden State. Cleveland will find a way to close down Stephen Curry who would pose the biggest threat. Curry is one of those players who can change the outcome of a game, just by the way he plays.
Curry averaged 31.2 points per night against the Rockets. He had one game where he scored 40 points. He can hit from 3-point land, and this could be a problem for the Cavaliers.
It will be interesting to see if Kyrie Irving can stop Curry. We know LeBron James could give Curry plenty to deal with, but Curry could become Kyrie's problem defensively. Kyrie who is nursing a sore left knee, will certainly get tested, if he is left to cover Curry.
The Cleveland Cavaliers should stack up nicely, against the Golden State Warriors. As we have seen over the 3-series the Cavaliers have won, to advance to the finals, they have too many weapons. Cleveland will give Golden state plenty to deal with.
It won't be so easy for Curry to drive the lane against this Cleveland Cavaliers team. I give the Cavs the edge to win the NBA Finals. The odds makers don't share my view. Some favor the Cavaliers to win the series, while some others are giving the edge to the Warriors.
I think we are in for some great Basketball. LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers want this championship, and LeBron has vowed they will be playing their butts off to get it. This is going to be a great series folks.
