Vinnie Pestano Best set up man in BaseballThe Cleveland Indians found themselves in third place in the A.L. Central and the Tribe needed to win again. The game was close and relief pitcher Tony Sipp has some trouble in Tampa Bay. What was manager Manny Acta left to do? He called for Mr. Set up Man, that's right it was the 7th inning and Acta called in Vinnie Pestano to get the Cleveland Indians out of the inning. Pestano came in with the tying run on second base, all Vinnie did was close out the seventh and then return to throw a 30 pitch 8th to get the Indians in place to bring Chris Perez in for his 26th save of the year.

Pestano is having a very solid year for the Cleveland Indians. If Pestano doesn't have the success he is having Perez wouldn't have the numbers he does. Sure, Perez is a great closer and there is a lot of pressure on him, just think about the pressure Vinnie Pestano faces. This is the second time this year Pestano has pitched multiple innings and the second time this year Vinnie Pestano had to throw a 30 pitch 8th inning. There is no one in all of baseball that faces the pressure setting up a save better than the Indians Vinnie Pestano, when the game is on the line he buckles down and busts his butt to get the Indians into a place to win the game. The Indians have a very solid road record this season when leading after 6 innings.

The Tribe is still in third place after their 3-2 win over Tampa Bay. The White Sox lost and the Indians gained a game and are now only 3 games back still a half game behind the Detroit Tigers. The Indians will play the Tampa Bay Rays again tonight, lets hope the Indians bats can get going early and Tomlin goes out there and gives the Indians some solid innings. Pestano's arm will need a little rest after last nights game.
