The Indians continue to be pleasantly surprised, each time they send Zach McAllister to the  mound. Last night he pitched 7-2/3′s innings of shut out baseball. The Tribe has a new win streak started and they took 2 games in a row from the Oakland A’s.

The Indians offense only scored one run in last nights game, with the way McAllister was pitching that was all they needed. The run came off a Yan Gomes sac fly to center field that scored Carlos Santana. Gomes had a great game behind the plate, he was able to gun down one of the A’s trying to steal second base late in the game. It was a great throw made by Gomes and he put the ball into Cabrera’s glove perfectly.

When the Indians picked up Gomes this season, they git a hidden gem. It was a good thing with the injuries the Tribe saw happen to their 2 other catchers. It would be extremely difficult to send Gomes back down to triple A the way he has played.

The Indians are now 2 games above .500 and they have a 2 game win streak going. They face off again tonight against the A’s and they will be looking to make it 3 in a row. Lets hope they can get more offense going in game 3 and lets hope the Cleveland pitching can perform as well as they have in the first 2 games.
