The Cleveland Indians were swept by the Boston Red Sox, Zach McAllister got the start for Cleveland and he couldn’t get the job done. He worked 5 innings and gave up 3 earned runs on 6 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 7, one hit was a home run. The Indians have now lost 4 games in a row.

This is a season high for the Tribe and the season is still young. Cleveland’s offense only produced 3 runs in the game. They continue to struggle at the plate. Nick Swisher went 0 for 4 in the game. Ryan Raburn couldn’t get it going either, he was 0 for 4.

The entire Indians offense had problems hitting the Red Sox pitchers, Cord Phelps who was playing second base went 0 for 3 and the Indians didn’t get much out of Michael Brantley who normally is the best hitter in the Indians line-up, Brantley went 1 for 4 and scored a run.

The Cleveland Indians have to get their pitching going and their offense has to get these guys some run support. If the team is going to give up 6 runs they have to score runs. Cleveland is now 4 games below .500 at 5-9.

Terry Francona has to give his Indians a wake up call. He better get these guys refocused otherwise it is going to be a very long season. The team went out a spent some money in the off-season and the guys they brought in were suppose to be able to produce some offense.

In the spring training games, the offense looked like it was going to be unstoppable. Once the season started it was a different situation. Francona has to get this situation turned around.
