It is time for the Cleveland Indians to part ways with closer Chris Perez. With the Indians in a wild card race to get into the play-offs, Perez has done very little to help the cause. He goes into last nights game and gives up 4 9th inning runs.

What the heck is wrong with this guy? It is almost like he knows his time is over with the Indians and he is trying to blow the opportunity to get to the play-offs. The Indian have no breathing room. The team’s they are chasing aren’t losing.

If the Indians fail to win any of their remaining games, they could be eliminated from the play-offs. It is time for the Tribe to make a change. Terry Francona can’t afford to take a chance with Chris Perez as the closer and who do we go to in the play-offs?

He can’t be depended on and this is the second game where he almost blew the lead. Thank God the Indians were leading 6-1 win Perez had his implosion. His attitude sucks too. He won’t talk to the media.

We saw the Indians use Justin Masterson as their closer the other night and they should consider doing so for the reaming three games and into the play-offs. Otherwise their time in post season play could be short-lived with Perez on the mound.

This is not the Chris Perez he once was, it is time for the change.

way to much drama. he has blown 3 saves so far and every time he pitches I make sure I have my phone handy in case I have to call 911. After 62
years of being a devoted fan I’m not sure my heart can take it. If the team we’re playing is within 3 runs in the 9th and Perez comes in they have us just were they want us.

Its hard being a Cleveland Fan in So. Cal..but I have to say..i am proud the way Tito brought this team this far and the closeness of the players to acheive a common goal…Chris Perez does not seem to want be a part of this team only the one man team..>Chris Perez!!!…GO TRIBE…with or without Chris Perez

Perez has definitely pitched his last pitch for the Indians. I’d be shocked if he made the playoff roster. With both Perez and Pestano having poor years, it is remarkable the Indians will win 90+ Games this year. I’d make Masterson closer for rest of year.
