The Cleveland Indians start a series against the Oakland A’s today. The Indians will send Ubaldo Jimenez to the mound, to open the series. Jimenez had a good outing in his last start, can he do it again? If the Jimenez shows up that pitched in his last game, things could go Cleveland’s way.
The A’s are a good ball club. They have 18 wins and have had a great start to their 2013 season. Cleveland is going to have to get their offense going if they expect to open this series with a win. The Indians need to get off to a quick start in this series if they expect to start another winning streak.
The Tribes offense was slowed down in their final game against the Twins. Oakland will send Jarrod Parker, to the mound. Like Jimenez, Parker has struggled so far this season, he has a 7.36 ERA which is just a bit worse than Ubaldo’s 7.13 mark.
Both men will be looking for a good pitching day. The Indians offense has made some of the pitchers they face pay this season. If the Indians offense can get it going early, they could help Jimenez stay relaxed. But Jimenez is going to have to come to the mound today with some of his good stuff.
The Indians are sitting on the .500 mark and the A’s are 4 games above .500 at 18-14 on the season. The Indians need to come away with this series. Lets hope Jimenez can get it done today.
