The Indians sent Ubaldo Jimenez out to the mound in the first inning the Angels tagged Ubaldo for a few hits and Jimenez had a wild pitch that enabled a run to cross the plate. Then Jimenez came in for the second inning and looked like the ACE everyone was waiting to see. Jimenez had complete control in the second inning, it only took 8 pitches for Ubaldo to get out of the second inning. It is good to see Jimenez was able to make an adjustment and come in and dominate after making a couple of mistakes in the first inning.
After two the Tribe sent Tomlin to the mound for a three inning outing in which he gave up four runs. Tomlin has got some work to do to find his stuff, but hey it is cactus league play and that is what it’s for. The Pitchers are the guys that really need to blow the rust off. Tomlin may have had a shaky day against the Angels, by the time the season starts I think he will have found his groove.
