The Cleveland Indians were able to find 2 runs in the 8th inning to get the team’s 71st win of the season. The Indians started Scott Kazmir who had another solid performance for the Indians. Kazmir pitched 6 innings striking out 8 while giving up 7 hits.

He only walked one and his solid performance helped the Indians get the win over the Minnesota Twins. The Indians had the fans sweating in this one. It took until the 8th inning for the Tribe to find the runs that would give them the win.

The Indians took the lead in the 3rd off a Jason Kipnis RBI single that scored Bourn. Minnesota tied the game at 1 in the 5th and it would stay that way until the 8th. Drew Stubbs would give the Indians the lead with a home run and then Nick Swisher would knock in the insurance run with a single to right that would drive in Bourn.

The Indians move to 71-59 on the season with the win and they are still 6 game behind in the A.L. Central but only a game and a half out of the wild card race. The Indians have the day off today and they travel to Atlanta to start a 3 games series with the Braves.

Then it is off to Detroit to take on the Tigers for the last time in the 2013 season. The Indians know what they have to do.
