Justin Masterson continues to struggle on the mound, for the Cleveland Indians. The club gave him a couple of more days off between starts. Manager Terry Francona was concerned about Masterson have some right knee soreness.

Even after the extended rest, Masterson continued to struggle. 3 innings is all he could pitch in this start. There has to be something seriously wrong with Masterson this season. He isn’t the kind of guy, who only pitches for 3 innings.

The 3 innings weren’t very good inning either. Masterson gave up 7 hit and 3 runs. He walked 3 batters and struck out 7. Justin Masterson is having trouble finding his control while he is on the mound this season. It’s either a physical problem, or he is mentally out of the game.

I think it’s a physical problem. He is struggling and he probably isn’t coming clean about how bad his knee really feels. Francona is going to have to pull the plug on him for a while. It was a good thing the Indians offense decided to show up last night.

Cleveland put 10 runs on the score-board. It is a much-needed win, after setting a new record in Cleveland losing back to back 1 hit shut outs for the first time in the history of the Cleveland Indians.

The Indians offense put 13 hits on the board in this game. Lonnie Chisenhall showed some power hitting a home run in the 1st inning which drove in Brantley who had doubled driving in a run himself. Cleveland was out in front early in the game, 3-0 in the 1st.

Masterson gave up the long ball and it was back to a 1 run game. The Indians offense was steady all game long, they scored 2 more runs in the 3rd, and 2 more runs in the 6th before completely busting loose with a 3 run 8th inning to seals the deal against the Dodgers. It’s good to see the Indians beat LA 10-3.

Now, the team needs to have a look at Masterson. Find out what’s wrong with him and get it treated.
