The Cleveland Indians lost another game, this time they were beat by the Boston Red Soc 6-3. It was the first loss Justin Masterson had this season. He pitched for 5 innings and was hit a lot. The Red Sox got 11 hits off Masterson, he gave up 4 earned runs in the game, walked only one batter and struck out 4.

Corey Kluber came in out of the bull-pen and worked an inning and gave up a run. Then Rich Hill came in and worked an inning and he gave up a run. Then the Indians real bull-pen players came in and shut down the Red Sox.

Joe Smith worked an inning and didn’t give up any hits or any runs then Mr. dependable, Vinnie Pestano came in and struck out 2 to get the Tribe a last chance at the plate. The Indians offense isn’t getting the job done.

When they face good pitching they struggle. The only runs the Tribes offense produced last night came off the long ball. Nick Swisher put the Indians on the board first with a two run blast in the 6th. Then it was the old-man Jason Giambi hitting a home run in the 6th to give the Tribe another run.

The long ball is helping the Indians get some runs on the board, but the base hits are missing and the Indians offense is suffering. Somehow Francona has to find a way to get the Tribes offense going. The way the Indians starting pitching is going, they are going to need plenty of runs from their offense.

The Indians are now 5-8 on the season after the 6-3 loss to the Bsoton Red Sox last night.
